MARK FAST SHOW FEATURES LADIES' KNITWEAR
A controversial show at London Fashion Week has highlighted the flexibility of ladies' knitwear, a source asserts.
Carola Long, writing for the Independent, claims that Mark Fast's show proves that garments of this type can look stylish and clingy, as well as providing the warmth more commonly associated with them.
She claims that the designer's use of plus-sized models shows that ladies' knitwear is not just suitable for willowy girls.
Fast's designs could move the aesthetic forward and create numerous new looks for ladies' knitwear, she tells the news provider.
"If there is anyone out there who still thinks knitwear is just about comfy cardigans and keeping warm, they should take a look at Mark Fast," she advises.
Cate Blanchett was recently snapped in ladies' knitwear at the opening of exhibition Screen Worlds: The Story of Film, Television and Digital Culture in Melbourne.
She was photographed in a crocheted garment featuring a large number of different colours.
