MICHELLE OBAMA WEARS WOOL KNITWEAR TO VISIT DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY
Wool knitwear gave Michelle Obama a stylish summer look as she visited the Department of the Treasury in Washington, US, yesterday (July 7th).
America's first lady opted for a white ladies' cardigan, which she placed over a matching white vest.
The ensemble looked suitable for the season as she teamed the knitwear with a satin floral skirt in pale shades of pink, blue and brown.
And she accessorised the attire with diamond drop earrings, a pearl necklace, metallic belt and bright pink shoes.
Ms Obama is known for her penchant for cardigans, which was first noted during her husband's presidential campaign.
In the run-up to the recent UK general election Samantha Cameron and Sarah Brown were both seen imitating the look when they wore ladies' cardigans during their husbands' prime ministerial battle.
Women may find a cropped cardigan is an ideal cover-up during the warm summer months and for transitions between seasons.
