SHEEPSKIN IS 'THE WARMER OF CHOICE' FOR NEXT WINTER
Sheepskin coats and clothing are expected to see increasing popularity next winter, according to one fashion writer.
Luke Leitch, writing for the Times, explained: "Sheepskin - or, as it's known here, shearling - will be the sartorial warmer of choice come next winter."
Commenting on Milan fashion week, Mr Leitch advised that sheepskin jackets were seen on many designer catwalks, including Giorgio Armani's.
Sheepskin trousers were also worn by models for Pringle. Knitwear featured heavily in many shows, according to Mr Leitch.
Elaborate knitwear and knitted trench coats were just some of the items spotted on the catwalk.
Dolce & Gabbana had "the snuggliest collection of the week", which saw plenty of sheepskin, the publication stated.
According to lenzing.com, trends for autumn/winter 2010-11 will be natural fibres. Colour pallets will reflect nature and sustainability.
Mr Leitch also noted that chunky footwear would be a key look for the season, as would the military trend.
