SHOULDER DETAILS ON LADIES' KNITWEAR 'BIG TREND NEXT SEASON'
Ladies' knitwear next season looks like it is going to be head and shoulders above the rest.
Reviewing the Toronto's LG Fashion Week, the Canadian Press noted there was inspiration from the 1980s on the catwalk.
However, it told the style savvy that they do not need to reach for "bulky linebacker-style shoulder pads" to put into the sleeves of jackets.
Instead, the fashion conscious should opt for delicate details.
The news provider described the trend as being softer than it was in the 1980s, but still with a bit of an edge.
"[It was] seen in epaulettes on knitwear and blazers and the sharp shouldered-yet-smooth boyfriend jacket," stated website.
Fashionistas might want to team ladies' knitwear with shoulder details with ruffle skirts – which the news provider pointed out would also be a big fad next season.
Earlier this week, MTV told women they could dress like Isla Fisher in the film Confessions of a Shopaholic by teaming sheepskin gloves with ladies' knitwear.
