SLEEP DEPRIVED? PUT ON LADIES SLIPPERS AND LISTEN TO COLDPLAY
Putting on a pair of cosy ladies slippers and listening to relaxing music could make it easier to drift off at night.
According to a survey from Travelodge, the most sleep-inducing musical act is Coldplay and many people reportedly listen to the bandwhen they want to nod off.
Michael Buble came second in the list, while Snow Patrol were voted in third place.
Some 84 per cent of people revealed they choose to listen to music in the evening when they are struggling to get to sleep.
And women may find changing into their ladies slippers and comfortable clothes also helps, with the Seattle Times recently suggesting spending 20 minutes resting before bedtime can assist slumber.
Stevie Williams from the Edinburgh Sleep Centre says previous research among both males and females concludes "listening to soft, relaxing music at bedtime leads to a number of different benefits to a night's sleep".
Fewer awakenings and a longer sleep duration period are among the advantages that were noted.
