TIRED MOTHERS COULD DON LADIES SLIPPERS FOR AN EARLY NIGHT
Relaxing in pyjamas and a pair of ladies slippers may assist the many mothers that are likely to have difficulty sleeping over the coming weeks.
According to research from Hallmark cards, almost two-thirds of parents say their kids' sleeping patterns are affected when the clocks go back.
And 80 per cent of those quizzed thought a good bedtime routine is the key ingredient to a restful night.
Channel 4 psychologist and expert Chireal Shallow warns: "A sleepless child has a huge effect not only on parents but on the entire household."
It might be a good idea for families to don their mens and ladies slippers and all concentrate on slumber-conducive regime together, after the clocks go back on Sunday (October 31st).
Reading a book is known to help, as it can help the mind relax and enables people to switch off from the day's stress.
Ms Shallow suggests beginning a bath, story and bed routine with children at the same time as normal when the clocks are turned back.
