Ethical clothing fans trying to free up some space in their wardrobe should remove their summer wear and store it elsewhere, an expert advises.

Anne Boyhan, editor of What She Wears, claims wardrobe weeding should begin with trying on every item.

She says: "Go through your wardrobe piece by piece, separating things into four categories - keep, give away, throw out, and swap or sell."

Items which are worn regularly or are investment pieces should be kept, as they may become fashionable again, she advises, which may interest ethical clothing lovers.

Ms Boyhan claims this will free up space, make finding the perfect outfit quicker and even help fashionistas raise extra money through the sale of old items, perhaps presenting them with the perfect opportunity to invest in a piece of ethical clothing.

Earlier this month, cleaning firm Merry Maids also highlighted the importance of keeping the wardrobe clear.

It claimed that by selling old items fashionistas can free up enough space to buy new season items, ethical clothing fans may be interested to discover.ADNFCR-2444-ID-19363457-ADNFCR
