WEAR WOOL KNITWEAR 'TO LOOK CHARMING AND SOPHISTICATED'
Wool knitwear is appropriate for those who want to wrap up in cooler weather but remain chic.
According to stylist Rebecca Pattison, speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, this look is a key trend in Australia at the moment.
"It's about texture, layers, layers, layers … And accessories, the more the better," she said.
The writer stated combining a range of colours and "cosy textures" will create a "charming yet sophisticated" ensemble.
One way to do this, Ms Pattison suggested, is to wear an item of wool knitwear over the top of other garments.
A men's cardigan, for example, was teamed with tailored shorts and worn over a T-shirt to complete the smart yet casual outfit.
Ms Pattison also put together a similar look for women, by opting for a woollen sleeveless cable-knit dress with a fitted hat, tights and chunky boots.
While these looks are ideal for autumn and winter, a lightweight cardigan could also prove perfect for summer, as a cover-up in the midday sun or a way to stay warm in cooler evenings.
